Please join us for a stream cleanup along the North Fork of the Kentucky on Saturday, April 13th. We will meet at the Veterans Memorial parking lot in downtown Whitesburg at 10:00 AM. We anticipate the cleanup lasting until about 1:00 PM. Garbage bags, gloves, water, and snacks will be provided.
Stream cleanups are one way we care for our waterways and help protect the health of stream ecosystems. This year’s spring cleanup is especially important after the significant rainfall we’ve experienced over the last several months. With major rainfall events, litter is swept into waterways.
